A

Adhesives
Adhesives used for construction contain petroleum products and should be disposed of as household hazardous waste (HHW) at the annual Recycle Roundup held in the spring. Click here for details.

Aerosal Paint Cans
Empty aerosal paint cans may be placed in regular refuse collection not recycling. Do not place full or partially full cans out for refuse because they will explode when compacted in the garbage truck. Empty the aerosal can  by spraying the paint on cardboard NOT wood. The cardboard may then be placed in regular refuse with the empty spray can. If you paint a piece of wood, the wood cannot be placed in refuse collection.

Air Conditioners
Air conditioners contain Freon as a coolant. Release of Freon in the atmosphere is both illegal and damaging to the ozone layer. Perrysburg city residents have curbside collection of air conditioners. There is a direct cost of $30 for Freon removal. To purchase disposal sticker and make arrangements for curbside collection, contact:

Perrysburg Department of Public Service
11980 Roachton Road
419-872-8020

You may take your old air conditioner to:

Bowling Green, OH
419-352-0180

Alkaline Batteries
Consult the batteries heading on this site for proper disposal information.

Aluminum Cans
Place aluminum cans in curbside recycling collection.

Due to the high market value of aluminum, thieves are taking cans from curbside bins. Removal of anything from the recycling  bin is in violation of city ordinance 1086.02 Rule 16. To help prevent theft of recyclables, wait until morning to set out curbside recycilng. If you see people taking aluminum cans from your curbside recycilng bin, contact the Perrysburg Police at 419-872-8001 to report the theft. If possible, get the license number, car make and color for the police.

Aluminum foil, aluminum foil pie and cake pans
Old aluminum recycles into new aluminum. Aluminum can be recycled many times. Recycling costs less in energy and natural resources than making aluminum from virgin material. Bauxite is a nonrenewable natural resource.
