NIKE ReUse-A-Shoe Recycling Program

Get your old shoes back in the game. Want to reward your worn-out sneakers for a job well done? Then recycle them with the NIKE ReUse-A-Shoe program. Your old shoes will be ground up and used to make brand new athletic surfaces like soccer fields, basketball courts and running tracks.  Please, no cleats, flip flops or boots.So clean out your closet, your locker, your gym bag and bring your old athletic shoes (any brand) to one of these sites listed below. Not only is it good for the environment, it's a great way to get your old shoes back into action.

During the month of April , over 2000 shoes were collected for recycling with this national program. Many thanks to Dave's Running Shop, Fort Meigs YMCA, Jazzercise, St. Julian's Fitness and Second Sole of Toledo for their participation as collection locations.

Dates and collection locations will be announced for 2011 when plans are finalized.
