Perrysburg City Yard Waste Bag and Tag Program
- This is a Pay-As-You-Throw Program
- Only official city yard waste bags/tags with city logo will be collected
- Generic bags WILL NOT be collected
- Official city bags/tags are available for $2.25 each at:

Yard Waste Collection Schedule
Weekly collection is April 1 through November 30.
- Must be placed curbside (NOT alley) by 6:30 a.m. to ensure collection
- Collected same day as garbage and recycling
- Collection may be any time during the day from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Collection is delayed one day following:
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
City Compost Site
The City Compost Site is available to city residents for free disposal of brush and leaves. The compost site is located at 1 West Boundary
- This facility is for use by City of Perrysburg residents only. No commercial lawn/tree services allowed.
- Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- Saturday hours are available the second Saturday of March through October 8 a.m. - 12 noon. You must be pre-registered for Saturday usage. To do this, stop by the Department of Public Service at 11980 Roachton Road, Monday-Friday 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. to have a photocopy made of your drivers license. You only need to register once. Items NOT Accepted:
- Grass clippings - use city yard waste program
- Bags, boxes or containers of any kind - disposal in regular garbage collection
- Dirt or soil - disposal at landfill
- Landscape timbers - disposal at landfill
- Ornamental Grasses - use City Yard Waste Program
- Railroad ties - disposal at landfill
- Sod - disposal at landfill
- Stone - disposal at landfill
- Wooden building materials - disposal at landfill
- Wooden fencing - disposal at landfill
City Compost Site Procedures
- City residents must come to the Department of Public Service at 11980 Roachton Road to verify residency by driver's license.
- A copy will be made of your driver's license and kept on file.
- Each load will be inspected for acceptable materials.
- After the load is approved, the resident will borrow a key to the compost site.
- The compost key must be returned immediately after use to the Department of Public Service.
- Compost privileges will be terminated if the resident:
- Dumps unacceptable materials or dumps in the wrong area.
- Fails to return the key to the Department of Public Service.
- Causes the area to become littered.
Emerald Ash Borer
To prevent the possible spread of the Emerald Ash Borer, all materials brought to or taken from the City Compost Site must remain within the city limits.
