ONE CALL NOW - Weather Alerts Temporarily Suspended
Following the severe weather event that moved through the Perrysburg area on the evening of July 22nd, the City of Perrysburg offices received numerous complaints from the public regarding the One Call Now emergency notification system.  Problems with the system’s weather alert function had been previously identified and discussed with representatives of One Call Now in an effort to correct these issues.  The city was very disappointed to learn that these problems were not adequately addressed by One Call Now and some problems continue to occur.  For example, weather watches were not supposed to be reported by the One Call Now system and continued to be reported.  Tornado warnings were supposed to be reported and were reported, but not in a timely manner.  Many tornado warning alerts were received after the tornado warning had expired.

The City of Perrysburg has instructed the service provider, One Call Now, to immediately suspend the weather alert notification until this problem can be appropriately addressed and corrected.  We apologize to the citizens of the Perrysburg community for any inconvenience this issue may have caused and assure that we are working to correct this problem.
